Pilates is a method of body conditioning founded in the early 1900's by Joseph H. Pilates...a unique system of strengthening and stretching exercises.
It strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture, provides flexibility and balance, creates a more streamlined shape and unites the body and mind. The aim is to realign the joints of the body creating muscle balance and reducing stress and injury to those joints.
The beauty of Pilates is that once you understand the core of its philosophy, its movements can be translated every area of your life - at work, relaxation and play (sport).
